Worship is a core value at PBC. The ministries and missions of the chuch are naturally extensions of worship experiences. In worship, we come before God because He is "worthy." We acknowledge our need to confess our sins, accept God's forgiveness and praise Him. Worship is about God; it is not about us. Worship is not intended to be entertaining or to produce ecstatic feelings among those who attend. Some of the most profound worship experiences may leave us uncomfortable becasue of our encounter with the Almighty and His revelation about ourselves.
Our worship leaders spend much time in preparing for worship. The choir, instrumentalists, soloists, and proclaimers are compelled by urgency to be authentic in worship.The Word of God is at the center of worship. We proclaim the Living Word of God by careful examination of His written word. Worship services at PBC blend together elements of tradition as well as more contemporary approaches. The great hymns of the faith are sung with choruses that reflect a more contemporary approach to music that is suitable for worship.
A Typical Week's Schedule of Worship Services
Sundays: 11:00 AM in the sanctuary and at 6:30 PM in the fellowship hall
Wednesdays: 7:30 PM in the fellowship hall for Bible study and prayer meeting.
